My background
Hey there, I'm Kirsten – the word wizard and storytelling extraordinaire you might’ve been searching for! With close to six years of media & communications studies, I pride myself on being a team player who is passionate about producing compelling content that speaks to my desired audience.
I'm currently a Digital Communications & Integrated Media undergraduate at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and I'm set to graduate this August.
Just recently, my internship with Qurio as a Content Creator & Editor drew to a close. It has been a blast honing my content marketing skills! I explored various concepts for product shoots, refined my copywriting, and (finally) gained exposure email marketing. Hungry to learn more, I'm on the hunt for my next big adventure.
My passion in communications started way back to when I created my first blog which grew to over 17,000 pageviews when I was only 14 years old. Fast forward to today, I've got a diploma in Communications & Media Management from Temasek Polytechnic, where I acquired my journalism skills and dabbled in everything from TV and radio production to digital design and media relations.
My love for the industry only grew stronger during my internship at the Singapore Island Country Club, where I supported writers by covering events and writing standalone articles for the monthly publication of the 'Islanders' magazine. This experience inspired me to pursue a degree in the Digital Comms sector to keep up with this ever-evolving industry.

1. Koka (2022)
A project for a marketing production module where my group and I had to find a way to market KOKA's product in a creative way and engage the audience.
My role: Scriptwriter & Director
Before creating the director's treatment, I came up with the story concept and wrote the screenplay for the commercial according to the target audience of the brand.

2. Mobot (2021)
Bringing out the best features of Mobot's best-selling foldable bicycles in a collaborative media production module.
My role: Scriptwriter & Assistant Director

Being the most experienced in storytelling and scriptwriting, I came up with the storyline of the video and developed a script out of it. It was challenging because I did not have much experience in media production for marketing at this point of time.

4. Journalism
During my 2018 internship with Singapore Island Country Club (Marketing Comms Department), I was very involved with writing for their monthly magazine publication. I mostly wrote on lifestyle & sports. Through this internship, I was able to immensely polish my copywriting, copyediting and proofreading skills.
